1.  Call to order.  Omari David, President, called the meeting to order at 7:30PM.  Columbia Pike Community Center, 527A.

2.  Josue Bastidas, guest, Columbie pike Partnership explains the events and goals of Columbia pike.  An active voice in changes to the Pike.  April 18 SpringFest.  Cultural Bazaar.  June 13 Blues Festival.  We can have a table at both. 

Road work is done.  Upgraded bus stops coming.

Grace Hopper School on Walter Reed.  Summer of this year completion estimate but building only. 

Increase size of Penrose Square and the Library will be moved to Columbia Pike where the SunTrust parking lot is now.  Just in discussion stages. 

3.  ArNAC update:  Miriam and Chanda are leads.  Need to update neighborhood plan.  Street light project for 7th Road was approved.  One new project idea can be emailed to Miriam, Chanda or Omari.   They have 1 million to spend.  So, we need to be conservative cost-wise.

Ramiro said new lines need to be printed on 8th as the reflectors are gone. 

4.  VHC update.  Meeting was cancelled.  Outpatient clinic for mental health patients.  Arlington Mill Site plan lead, Omari, would like an assistant for Site Plan.

5.  Voting for Housing Liaison to assist Omari and the Board to handle the issues with the County concerning housing.  Some actions would be: track housing zoning, site plans, development, missing middle, affordable housing.  Attend meetings with country.  Keeping neighbors informed with a newsletter and meetings/events.  Lively discussion ensued about the lack of feasibility of the current housing plans of Arlington Country. 

6.  Questions: No Questions.  Janet V expressed concerned about the After School Program Support.  Next meeting will be 7:00 PM on May 19, 2026.
