Tonight! November 7 - Vision Series Lecture

"Women Waging War and Peace: A Gendered Challenge to Structural Violence." Join us for this lecture and a complimentary reception immediately following. 7:00 p.m. - Founders Hall Auditorium. Open to the public. Click here for more information.

November 9 - Pizza & Perspectives:

Plans, Trains & Automobiles: Transportation Infrastructure, Financing & the Future.

Enjoy pizza and a discussion on the state of America's current infrastructure, strategies for financing the cost of maintenance, and a debate on what policies and modes would best serve the nation going forward. This event is open to the public. Founders Hall Multipurpose Room. 6-7:15 p.m. Free Pizza! Details.

November 10 - Accelerating Social Entrepreneurship In the Age of Austerity

Join George Mason University's Center for Social Entrepreneurship and hundreds of the best and brightest minds on this topic in the nation at the fourth annual "Accelerating Social Entrepreneurship in the Age of Austerity" conference. November 14 - The Green Economy: Competing Globally for Jobs of the Future

Hosted by Mason's School of Public Policy Student Association. Hear from Terry McAuliffe, former Chairman of the Democratic National Committee and now Chairman of GreenTech Automotive. McAuliffe will offer insight about his company's recent experience with China and discuss how green technologies can create jobs globally. Light refreshments will be served. Open to the public. 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Room 126 (Multipurpose Room). Details.

November 15 - Film & Discussion: "GasLand."

Join our School of Public Policy Film Society's Presentation of "GasLand." View the film and hear from a panel about this Oscar-nominated documentary by Josh Fox. It explores the controversy of the natural gas technology known as "fracking." Light refreshments will be served. This event runs 5-7:30 p.m at Founders Hall in the Auditorium. Open to the public.
