Kidical Mass Arlington Plans Bike Rides

With beautiful weather around us, it's exciting to think about getting out and about in Arlington on two wheels! Kidical Mass Arlington will help familes do just that -- casual family group bike rides (slow paced, on calm streets and/or trails, very easy, nobody dropped) in and around Arlington County.

Everyone is welcome: adults with kids on seats, in trailers, on long tails, in box bikes, on trail-a-bikes, and/or on tandems; older kids on their own bikes; even adults on bikes by themselves.

The rides will be slow (around 6 mph), short (3-4 miles) and easy (no hills above 5% grade if at all possible).

There will be rides on the third Sunday of the month every month this summer (except August). More information can be found at the website: <http://kidicalmassarl.blogspot.com/>http://kidicalmassarl.blogspot.com/

The first ride is this Sunday, May 19, meeting at 11:30am at the Lubber Run Community Center's playground. We'll roll down to the W&OD trail, then to the Bluemont Trail and stop for lunch at Vapiano in Ballston (about 3.5 miles). Then we'll take neighborhood streets back to Lubber Run (about 1/2 mile), ending around 1-1:30pm.

Hope to see you out on the trails!
