Investment Fundamentals Course

The Arlington office of Virginia Cooperative Extension will once again be offering a free five-session course on investing beginning October 19th. This course is ideal for those who are new to investing or want to gain information on stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and tax-deferred investments. The classes will be taught by Certified Financial Planners who are experts on investment topics and who pledge not to sell their specific products or services during the classes. This course is free but pre-registration is required. Classes will be held on consecutive Wednesday evenings beginning October 19th at the Arlington Central Library 2nd floor meeting room, 1015 N Quincy Street, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

October 19, Session 1: Investing Basics

October 26, Session 2: Investing in Stocks

November 2, Session 3: Investing in Bonds

November 9, Session 4: Investing in Mutual Funds

November 16, Session 5: Tax-Deferred Investments
