Snapshots Highlights Summer Reading Programs

In this week's episode of Snapshots, Superintendent Dr. Pat Murphy talks with staff from Long Branch Elementary School, Swanson Middle School and the Arlington County Library about the importance of reading over the summer and several initiatives to support summer reading.

School Board Appoints Drew Elementary Principal

The Arlington School Board named Jacqueline Smith as the Principal of Drew Model School. Smith has been the interim principal at Drew for the last 18 months.

Arlington Students Compete for ART Bus Design

Public voting for the "ARTists for PAL" Bus Design Contest is now open. Early this spring, Arlington Transit (ART) asked middle and high school students to create a design for the outside of an ART bus using the theme "Share Our Streets – Be a PAL," Arlington's biking, walking and driving safety initiative.

School Board Hears End-of-Year Updates and Program Evaluations
