Thanks to widespread community support, Friends of the Planetarium has collected nearly $140,000 so far in its effort to save the planetarium. The final goal by the end of June is $402,000, so support is still urgently needed. Details about memberships, the seat dedications for the refurbished planetarium, corporate partners, and other details about the Friends’ efforts can be found on their website: www.saveplanetarium.org. Supporters can also help by purchasing save-the-planetarium t-shirts and bumper stickers—available at Casual Adventure (3451 N. Washington Blvd.) Interested persons may sign up for regular updates about the Friends’ events and progress by writing to save.the.planetarium (a ) gmail.com.
