Gardening Workshops

Virginia Cooperative Extensive, with support from Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia, will present two free workshops for the public in October.

Wednesday, October 17, 7 to 8:30 pm. Planting Bulbs Now for Spring Bloom. Find out everything you've always wanted to know about planting spring bulbs, including how to plan for a succession of blooms. Arlington Central Library, 1015 N. Quincy Street.

Saturday, October 27, 10 am to Noon. Building Fertile Soil for Productive Gardens. Learn how to get your soil tested and how to amend and improve it, as well as how the Arlington County Mulch program works and how to start composting in your own backyard. Arlington Trade Center, 2700 S. Taylor Street.
