Arlington Mill Community Center: January/February 2012 Construction Update

The County has reopened 9th Street to Park Glen Condominium residents and to allow others access to the trail. Arlington Mill Drive is now closed for the duration of the project. The jersey barriers have been relocated to Columbia Pike and S. Dinwiddie Street. Crews are installing sewer, water and other infrastructure on Columbia Pike, S. Dinwiddie Street and Arlington Mill Drive and work is underway to excavate for the garage. All piles required for the building and garage have been installed and the asphalt and concrete from the old parking lot has been removed. In January and February, the following events will take place: - A new traffic light will be places at the intersection of S. Dinwiddie Street and Columbia Pike - Two tower cranes will be erected at the site - Work will begin on the garage foundation and walls We will provide additional details about each of these items as the information is finalized.
