Update on Bus Stop Changes along Columbia Pike

posted Aug 3, 2010, 10:57 AM by Lilly Mancilla   [ updated Aug 3, 2010, 11:28 AM ]

As you may know, work is underway to underground utilities along Columbia Pike from S. Wakefield St. to Four Mile Run. The project is part of a comprehensive effort to transform the Pike into a “Main Street” to better serve one of Arlington’s most diverse cultural and business areas. I am writing today to ask you to share information regarding changes to some bus stops along the Pike with your members.

Delays Expected & Bus Stops Relocated

The County aims to ensure the safety of all work crews and the community during this and other projects in the right-of-way. As a result, MetroBus and ART bus stops at Columbia Pike and Buchanan St. will be temporarily closed and relocated. The links below provide additional information about specific bus routes and alternate stops.

Time Frame & More Information

The utility work will last about 15 months.
