The official ribbon cutting at the Arlington Mill Community Center (AMCC) was a huge success - even with the pouring rain! Wonderful refreshments were supplied by the Pan Am Bakery, which will be moving into the AMCC around November. If you haven't been there yet, stop by and see this wonderful new facility and find out what's going on in the building.
Arlington County has opened the fitness room to seniors who have a 55+ pass. The restricted hours for 55+ pass holders are:
- from Opening-2:30 pm
This now gives participants with the 55+ Pass access to three community fitness centers. If you check-in at these locations after or come in on the weekends, a $4.00 daily fee would apply or you may purchase a full privilege senior resident fitness membership. This is the exact practice that takes place at Thomas Jefferson Community Center and Barcroft Sports and Fitness Center.
